My name is Kevin Garner and I live in southwest Florida. I own a
print shop and do all of my own printing (and will do yours too if
you ask nicely).
I occasionally will pick up a camera or dabble in digital art but mostly I am
a painter. I prefer watercolors, but have been known to work in other mediums
as well. I've never had any formal art education and have learned all I know
through the frustrating method of trial and error.
If you've wandered through my gallery you've probably notice I paint
women...alot. This makes only slightly more sense to me than it should
to you. I like all of my paintings to have a feeling of "grace" to
them, and there aren't many things that portray that feeling better
that the female form. I believe that it is easier to connect with the
emotion in a painting if your looking into another face. It's almost
an instinctive reaction to want to understand what the subject is feeling
and this need to understand is what keeps me painting portraits. Who
knows how much longer it will last, but I'm enjoying it for the moment.
